Hi Justin,

Thanks for dropping by here. This blog is not as good as yours, though we share the same theme.

BTW, I have used eeeXubuntu for quite a while already before Ubuntu Eee and I did not have serious problems with it since a lot of help is already available in forums and other blogs. I have not tried Mandriva myself but I hear it's quite better than any other distros.

I am really a newbie in the Linux but I am very interested to learn about more about it. I started this blog to record all my experience about Linux. And maybe for other purposes too.

Hey there

I see you referred back to my post (on my site) about Ubuntu on the EEE PC. I would hold out just a few more days until the full release comes out. Many problems should be fixed that were plaging the beta (wireless is a big one).

Another alternative is Mandriva. Personally, I've had a better experience using Mandriva on the eee PC vs Ubuntu. Everything works out of the box (much more so than Ubuntu). There are still some issues with it, but like Ubuntu the bugs are being stomped out as time goes on.

Great blog! You've done quite a lot of work on the eee PC! Keep it up!

Thanks and Regards!

I have actually tried the v1.0 of the script a while ago but another problem arose... the 640 x 480 screen resolution issue. And 915resolution won't fix it.
