In just a few days after Asus Eee PC shipped out last year, Cloudbook followed in strong confidence to compete with Asus, but then it looks like Everex stopped mingling with other ultra portables for a while now. I never have concrete basis on this being out of the loop of discussion in every blog I read.
So I glanced on their products site and found out that Cloudbook has not stopped yet. By Q1 or Q2 of next year, Everex is planning its huge come back with a better weapon. The Think Cloudbook MAX.
Think Cloudbook MAX will sport a 1.6GHz VIA C7®-M ULV processor, and will run with Windows Vista® Home Basic. It will also have a larger screen than the previous, an 8.9″ WVGA display. It will feature the usual 802.11b/g WiFi as well but its primary advantage is the integrated single chip Mobile WiMAX solution which allows faster connection to broadband networks. And that’s why they call it Internet Everywhere…
